Meet Our Owner
Harold Holton, Jr. was greatly influenced by his family with four generations of background in timber harvesting. This dates back to the 19th century when his great grandfather, A.D. Holton, was the Logging Supervisor of the largest lumber company East of the Mississippi River.
As a teenager, Harold worked for his father's company, Holton's Logging, and then later became the sole proprietor. He worked in logging and timber harvesting until 1992.
In his career, he was greatly involved in various industry work such as harvesting, milling, management, and appraisals.
Harold was also a pioneer in shovel logging, which enabled forest landowners to sell swamp timber that was not able to be harvested before shovel logging.
After years of logging and two back surgeries, he decided to focus on appraising timber. He carries years of extensive experience in the field, which enables him to provide an excellent level of service.
